Hi, I'm Spring Mei — the creator of Gardening Tools Garden and the person behind every guide on this site. My houseplant journey started 7 years ago with a single Calathea, which I very nearly killed in its first month. That early disaster turned into a bit of an obsession. Today I care for a collection of 40+ indoor plants — from easygoing pothos and snake plants to fussier calatheas and fiddle leaf figs. I'm not a botanist. I'm a hands-on plant parent who has made just about every mistake possible — overwatering, root rot, spider mites, you name it — and worked out what actually fixes them through years of trial and error.
